What to ExpectOur first session together is to form an assessment of your needs and whether you feel we can work together. Areas for you to consider are:

  • What you think of me and if you feel I am the right person for you.
  • Whether you feel that I can help you
  • How you feel about the environment I work in and accessibility such as parking and travel.
  • Are you ready to commit yourself to starting therapy?

If at the end of our first session together you feel comfortable and decide that you would like me to work with you, I will then suggest that we initially agree to six sessions. This Short Term counselling is suitable for clients who have a clear focus on the difficulties that they wish to work on. We will then sign a therapeutic contract and agree to the date of our next session. However, you are under no obligation to complete the contracted six sessions should you feel you have achieved your goal or simply want to stop.

If you feel six sessions will not be enough time to work through your problems then I offer Long Term counselling which enables us to work in depth to get to the root cause of your difficulties.

We will work with regular reviews so that we can tailor our work to your needs.
